About Us

Kaylene Akins is the founder of Steps 4 Success Psychological, counselling and coaching services who registered Steps 4 Success in 2001. Kaylene has operated one of the foremost psychology practices on the Central Coast for many years. As a registered psychologist who completed her Masters in Psychology of Coaching through University of Sydney in 2004, she is a member of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) and the International Society for Coaching Psychology (ISCP).

Kaylene has added a team of psychologists and other allied health professionals since and this team works with individuals, families and couples. Kaylene provides lifestyle, business and executive coaching and will tailor workshops to suit your needs; and provide mediation and professional supervision to psychologists and allied health professional along with a wide variety of other services.

In day to day life people experience many issues which can include relationship conflict; ill health; stress; anxiety (about doing new or different things which can include social anxiety); experiencing a trauma or injury; coping with children of all ages with their needs and behaviour and various losses.

Each of these are part of everyday life, but they can also start to negatively impact on your wellbeing - and contribute to a loss of motivation; difficulty with sleep and many report a feeling of not being able to cope as well as they use to.
